1. Summary

Strollday (漫日) is a daily video diary published by TechTransLab, LLC ("we", "our", or "us"). It works entirely on your device. There is no account to create, and we do not collect, receive, or store any of your personal data. Your clips, vlogs, places, and settings never reach us.

This policy explains what the app does with the data on your device, and which system features it uses to do it.

2. No Account, No Data Sent to Us

  • Strollday has no sign-up, login, or user profile.
  • The app does not send your videos, location, usage, or device identifiers to us or to any server we operate.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share personal data, because we do not have any.

3. Camera and Microphone

Strollday asks for camera and microphone access so you can film clips. They are used only while the camera screen is open and you are filming, including when you start a capture from the Lock Screen. Recordings are saved in the app's private storage on your device.

4. Location

If you allow location access, Strollday reads your location only while the camera is open, so it can stamp each clip with where it was filmed. It does not track your location in the background.

To turn coordinates into a place name (for example a city or neighborhood), the app uses the operating system's geocoding service: Apple's geocoder on iPhone and iPad, or Android's Geocoder on Android. That request is handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, not by us. The coordinates and place names are stored on your device only.

You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device settings. Clips will then be filmed without a place stamp.

5. Photos

  • Saving: Strollday asks for add-only access to your photo library so it can save finished vlogs there. With add-only access the app cannot see or read your existing photos.
  • Importing: when you import, the system photo picker opens and only the videos you pick are shared with the app. Nothing else in your library is read.

6. Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push service or notification token is involved, and nothing is sent to us. You can change the reminder hours or turn reminders off in the app or in your device settings.

7. No Analytics, Crash Reporting, or Ads

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not use your data to build profiles or to target ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

8. Widgets and Quick Capture

The Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, Control Center button, and Lock Screen camera share a small amount of data with the app on your device, such as today's clip count, your language, and your colour theme. This data stays in storage shared between the app and its extensions on the same device.

9. Storage, Backups, and Deletion

  • All clips, vlogs, highlights, place names, and settings are stored in the app's storage on your device.
  • Deleting the app deletes all of its data from your device. Vlogs you already saved to Photos stay in your photo library.
  • If you use iCloud Backup, a computer backup, or your phone's own backup service, those backups may include the app's data. They are handled by Apple or Google under your backup settings, not by us.

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, export, correct, or delete on your behalf. You stay in control of everything through the app and your device.

10. Children's Privacy

Strollday does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

11. This Website

This website does not use cookies. It remembers the language you choose in your browser's local storage. Page visits are counted with Plausible Analytics, a cookieless service that reports aggregate statistics and does not collect personal data. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply. Fonts and icons load from Google Fonts and unpkg, which see your IP address as part of each request, as any web server does.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we change how Strollday handles data, we will update this page and the "Last Updated" date above before the change takes effect.
